Meet Our Panel:
Kelly Krause — Conference Programming Manager + Strategic Partnerships, SXSW
Kelly Krause is a content and brand curator, and community-builder living in Austin, TX. Originally from a small town in Nebraska, she moved to Texas via Los Angeles in 2010 (as one does) to say goodbye to the entertainment industry and spearhead publicity for SXSW Interactive. In the past eight years, she launched the Style track of programming at SXSW and grew into a beautiful role where she gets to curate conference programming, work closely with some of the brightest humans and brands of our time, and connect people and brands to help tell their story. When not busy planning a huge creative event in March, she hosts a monthly speaker series at lululemon in Austin called “In the Practice,” featuring creatives who keep wellness at the forefront of their lives. She values everyday movement, often spending time on Lady Bird Lake or SoulCycle, and she's mostly inspired by those who are boundary-pushers, anti-perfectionists, and kind-hearted.
Megan Kohout — Vice President of E-commerce and Customer Analytics, Kendra Scott
Megan oversees all aspects of Kendra Scott’s e-commerce channel, including web development, user experience and digital marketing. She also leads all qualitative and quantitative customer analytics with a focus on driving actionable recommendations across business functions. She focuses on keeping the customer at the center of every experience this billion-dollar brand presents.
Prior to her current role, Megan oversaw e-commerce and customer analytics at Club Monaco and managed digital marketing and customer analytics at a fashion flash sale site launched by Amazon. She began her retail career analyzing customer data at Ann Taylor.
Megan received her MBA from Harvard Business School and her undergraduate degree in Economics from Harvard College.
Amy Young — Director, Retail Marketing, Kendra Scott
Beginning her career in the publishing industry, Amy worked for titles within media companies Conde Nast, Rodale and pop-culture notable, NYLON where she strategized and executed custom marketing programs for fashion-focused advertising partners. After years within the publishing business, she transitioned to an in-house position as Marketing Director for global brand, alice + olivia prior to leading strategy within the North American Retail Marketing channel of modern luxury brand, Coach.
She now resides in Austin, Texas where she is the Director of Retail Marketing for leading fashion accessories brand, Kendra Scott where she drives retail store activation and strategy.
Lacy Smythe Edmondson — Director of Special Events, Kendra Scott
Starting her career in New York City, Lacy worked in the Public Relations industry for seven years where she created and executed national campaigns, events and launches for luxury lifestyle clients including Gucci, Morgans Hotel Group, Nars Cosmetics, New York Times Style Magazine T:Style, Prada and more. In 2010 she moved back to Texas accepting a position as Events & PR Director, programming events and leading marketing strategy for theater openings for Triple Tap Ventures, the owner and operator of the El Paso, Houston and Lubbock Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas.
Now in Austin, Lacy balances time between her husband and two boys, and the Kendra Scott family, a company that believes giving back is the truest form of success.
